| Event Abstract: | Join us for this updated version of the AI Tools for Supporting Research workshop. It begins with discussing how AI tools complement and, in some ways, surpass traditional library and public domain research tools. An expanded framework with five phases for categorising AI tools to support research will be presented, along with selective demonstrations of representative tools in each category. Practical cases will also illustrate how to integrate these tools into strategy formulation and decision-making at various stages of the research process. The presenter will share insights into new developments in the technology landscape and discuss methods for assessing tool viability and safeguarding and futureproofing past efforts. Finally, the workshop will summarise the positions of major publishers and journals on publishing research that uses AI tools. |
