Redesigning Assessment amidst Generative AI (REGAIN) Conference
| Conference Abstract: | In January, we hosted our annual Generative AI Insights (GAIN) conference, which provided our educators with valuable insights into teaching innovation through seven practice- and research-based presentations. Building on this success, we aspire to explore the topic of assessment and feedback with generative AI at this forthcoming conference, including strategies for assessment redesign, cases of using AI tools and platforms to transform assessment practices, and alternative assessment methods to prepare students better for the future. |
| Event Highlights: | We are privileged to have Professor Mike PERKINS, Head and Associate Professor of the Centre for Research and Innovation at British University Vietnam, and Professor Irwin KING, Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, deliver the keynote speeches. We are also honoured to have Dr Julia CHEN of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Adjunct Associate Professor Joon Nak CHOI of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Assistant Professor Juuso NIEMINEN of The University of Hong Kong, and Dr Steven YEUNG of The Chinese University of Hong Kong give us four featured presentations. In addition, the panellist cum moderator and the four featured speakers will participate in a panel discussion to further share their perspectives on assessment and feedback practices with generative AI, ensuring a successful and fruitful closing to the conference. |
