This project aims at conducting a thorough and qualitative investigation on the current AA system in CUHK. CLEAR studied and evaluated the advantages and disadvantages, effectiveness, obstacles and difficulties of each aspects from our stakeholders: teaching staff and students.
Faculties conduct regular sharing sessions on the implementation of the Academic Advisory System; they have to complete a checklist for each session for monitoring purpose, as well as for sharing of good practices and difficulties encountered for further improvement.
To ensure a smooth implementation of the Academic Advisory System at various levels of the University, briefing sessions / workshops are organized by the Office of Student Affairs for Academic Advisors. As a means to monitor the progress of the implementation of the Academic Advisory System for reporting back to SCTL, annual sharing sessions with the Chairmen and representatives from each Faculty Committee on academic advising are organized for reporting and sharing of experience in the past academic year.
