Workshop Abstract: |
To encourage front-line participation and development of good examples on internationalisation of the curriculum (IoC), a Grant Scheme for Internationalization of Curriculum has been set up to support worthwhile initiatives to develop collaborative courses with non-local partners; and/or activities that facilitate IoC. Successful application will receive a maximum of HK$100,000 funding.
CLEAR is holding a workshop to support teachers on proposal writing of the grant scheme. The workshop will begin with some background of IoC, looking at definitions and principles of IoC and considering some of the myths associated with it. We will give examples of how it has been introduced in different countries, local universities and CUHK; what has worked, and how those ideas may be adapted in terms of course design, learning outcomes, teaching, learning and assessment that suits your pedagogical needs. The workshop will provide participants with case studies on understanding the Conceptual Framework of Internationalized Curriculum and conclude with points to note on writing a proposal with regards to the requirement of the grant scheme for IoC.
