Strategies to advance qualitative data analysis: from thematic, matrix coding to text queries through NVivo
提昇質性數據分析的策略：使用NVivo進行分析，從主題、矩陣編碼到文本查詢
Description
When analysing qualitative data, researchers can use an inductive or deductive approach to examining sources of data. Coding may allow us to formulate a framework or identify sources of evidence with respect to the approaches used.
Categories emerge when individual coding is clustered into levels of sub-themes. To address research questions, researchers can further explore relationships between or within cases. The queries function in NVivo will allow researchers to retrieve matrix results easily. In addition, NVivo also offers an alternative approach to textual script analysis that provides fresh scope from the sea of data to provide an enlightened scope in addition to existing theories.
分析質性數據，研究人員可以使用歸納法或演繹法來檢驗數據來源。就選用的方法，編碼可助制定框架或確定證據的來源，個別編碼羣集到次主題的級別可呈現出類別。NVivo的查詢功能有助簡便檢索矩陣，研究人員探討研究問題時，可以進一步探討案例間或案件中的關係。此外，NVivo更提供另一種方法分析文本，讓新的範圍可從大量數據中分析出來，從而在現有的理論外啟發出新的範圍。

Interested participants will need to bring your own notebook computer with NVivo installed before attending the workshop. Participants are welcome to bring along your own qualitative research project data.
