Programme Review Using A Learning Analytics Approach

Guest Speaker: Dr. Christine Armatas, Associate Director, Educational Development Centre, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

Organizer: Dr. Paula Hodgson, Centre for Learning Enhancement and Research

Details: The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, together with The Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Baptist University, have been awarded funding by the University Grants Committee through the Teaching and Learning Research Programme scheme to conduct a data-driven review of the new 4-year curriculum (4YC) at our universities. The aim of this project is to analyze the experience of 4YC graduates to identify factors that impact on student success and to use this information to provide better support for current students. In this seminar we will give an overview of the project activities, including how the reviews will be conducted, what data will be analyzed and how the findings will be used. Teachers and programme leaders will have the opportunity to find out more about the project and how they can get involved if they are interested.
