uReply is a classroom communication tool for use with mobile devices designed to facilitate teacher-student interactions at CUHK. It has the following important characteristics:
Ease of use: Students use their own mobile devices. No need to bring the keypad devices (‘clickers’) to the classroom, and no worries about collecting them after the lesson either.
Cloud-based: No need to customize PowerPoint slides before going to class, and no need to learn new software.
Campus-wide: System supports massive scale of instantaneous usage by many teachers in many classes, big or small.
Cross-platforms: uReply works on nearly all reasonably updated web browsers in any digital devices in various operation systems.
In this workshop, we will provide hands-on experience for teachers to learn how to use uReply and explore together how it could be used to facilitate various types of teaching and learning activities in the classroom.
